Box & Charnock is currently on site at Bellway Homes’ Willow Green and New Cardington housing schemes providing comprehensive plumbing and heating services to both developments.
It was therefore excellent news to hear that Bellway site managers at these developments have each won a NHBC Pride in the Job award which is the highest industry accolade a site manager can achieve.
“Congratulations go to the guys on their achievement as winning a NHBC award is no mean feat. Only 450 Quality awards are selected from 15,000 site managers across the UK and competition is fierce,” said Jason Benson, joint managing director Box & Charnock.
Pride in the Job is recognised as the Oscars of the industry and is the only UK-wide competition dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house-building. It has been instrumental in driving up the quality of new homes for 35 years.
Judging for the awards is meticulous. As well as undergoing spot checks of the day-to-day running of their site, each site manager is assessed across 38 areas of management, including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process, leadership and organisational skills. Only site managers who demonstrate exceptional standards in every aspect of their work on site and in the homes they build are considered for a Pride in the Job Award.
“To win a NHBC award shows a commitment to quality and is a great personal success not only for the site manager concerned but also for his team and the associated trades on site who all pull together to deliver excellence across all areas of the operation.”
“We are therefore delighted to be associated with such a prestigious accolade and wish both site managers continued success in their careers.”
